1. It was the reporter who was snippy, testy, & tackling the unflappable Obama.
Obama just asked for common courtesy.

6. Bush used to do much worse and the media barely
reported it.

Remember when someone called him "Sir" and he said "Who are you talking to?"..."Sorry...Mr President."?

Or telling the reporter he had a "face for radio"?

Or asking the blind reporter, "Are you going to ask that question with shades on?"

Or calling one of them "a major league asshole" into an open mic during the 2000 campaign?

Or telling a bald reporter "next time you should cover your bald head."?

7. Memo to Brad Watson: "infer" is how you take something, "imply" is how you mean something.

This guy is supposed to be a professional journalist? We all have our grinding pet peeves but IMO Obama should have turned on a neon sign that said "I'm with stupid" at that point.

8. Poor little reporter got schooled

and is pissed about it. Tried to run with the big dogs for 7 minutes, fucked it up, and POTUS had to educate him on how to do an interview of a head of state. And now Belo is trying to spin it on a national level that it was POTUS who acted inappropriately.

Gee, where are Watson's (and Belo's) balls when it comes to our governor? Like "Gov Perry, you want TX to leave the US but it is the US you turn to for federal disaster funding" or "so how would you explain to Texas families when their kid get accepted to university in the US (outside of TX) and have to pay foreign student fees/tuition because TX is not part of the US?". "And let's go over the state budget cuts announced a few weeks ago. No more state funding for autistic children, cutting the funding for the state to inspect daycare and nursing homes" and so on.

Keep in mind, the reporter's channel (Ch 8 in Dallas) is owned by Belo...and no matter HOW bad the repukes destroy TX, Belo always, always, always, always endorses the repuke running (or running again) for gov and for the most part other state level offices. They will report how bad things are between elections but as soon as November rolls around and they post their "who we endorse", it's always a given it will be the repuke.

So little Brad needs to come back here with his tail rightfully between his legs and stop trying to spin what really happened.
