1. Thank you for posting this item from Guns and Butter.
I no longer live in an area where i can hear via radio the Guns and Butter discussions, and I had forgotten all about them.

Will be checking this out.

4. Corporations are out to make as much profit as they can, however they can
GMO companies denying the health risks of their products are no different than tobacco companies denying the health risks of tobacco. Their only concern is profits.

5. Old news, but still relevant
Polluters, in general, knew what they were doing for the last hundred years

Good summary of GMO 'research' conducted according to principles in above book
http://www.seedsofdeception.com/Public/SeedsOfDeception/TheBookataGlance/index.cfm

The basic logic is as follows

1. Don't do studies, and/or do really small ones.
2. Don't publish any studies but those with the most positive results
3. Assert that the tests are 'too small' and negative effects 'unrepresentative'
4. Widely claim that there isn't a significant amount of research showing negative effects
5. Widely claim that #4 implies that there aren't any negative effects
6. Don't forget the bribery, threats, invoking of national security, etc.
