Why are we where we are?
I'm not speaking from a philosophical viewpoint as much as from a political viewpoint.

Why are we having to fight threats to shut down the government?

Why do have such huge debt and deficits?

Why are they discussing cutting Medicare and Social Security?

Why are we having such a difficult time voting to extend the debt limit?

Why are we so critical of Barack Obama?

Why are they printing money as fast as the printers will go?

Why is gasoline almost $4 per gallon?

Why is the government in such turmoil?

Let me be the first to say, it is not Barack Obama's fault.

It is no big secret. The Teabaggers don't know anything that we do not know. We know who is mostly responsible for the mess that has everyone at each other's throats. Mostly, it is the taxcuts and the wars that most of the Teabaggers supported. Let's just make sure we are operating on a level playing field, OK?

2. Triangulation
For 18 years and counting, Democrats have moved hard right to within a few inches of the Republicans hoping to scoop up voters in the middle. Then the Republicans move further right to differentiate from the Democrats. Then repeat.

And here we are.

6. When I was speaking with a Republican friend of mine after Shrub stole the election
He asked given where we were, how bad could 4 years of Bush be? I thought it could be bad, but I had No Idea how bad a slide we were headed for.

8. Because the Supreme Court decided corporations are people
The 2010 election results were a result of corporations funding candidates.. we have got to figure out how to beat the corporations at this, or we are all doomed.
