So Prosser wants a recount?
Any chance of getting the U.S. Supreme Court stopping it?

Remember this crap?

As our nation got pulled into the sewer by bus/Cheney/Rove thanx to stopping a recount.

1. I have no problem with a recount.
I'd expect either candidate who lost to ask for one in this case.

3. neither do I but I remember the republicans .....
..... moving heaven and earth to stop one in 2000 in Florida so whenever I hear
a republican asking for a recount my irony meter pegs.

7. Yep. I remember it well too. And it's been interesting to find out
who some of those people are that stormed one of the offices and caused a lot of trouble.

And I know how badly they mock Dems who ask for recounts. My irony meter is off the charts for me too. :)

14. My margin changed by plus 20 times after a recount. Sometimes vote rigging is detected!!!

2. No chance. If I were Prosser I would want a recount as well.
You would be stupid not to in such a close election.

There will be a recount and it will be done as well as the recent recount in Minnesota.

4. The votes have been counted, the people have spoken
Time to put past divisions behind us, and unite as one Wisconsin behind Justice Kloppenburg.

5. Does anyone know how they will do the recount...do they have both
sides overseeing these counts...with the kochroaches money it makes me nervous...I just wondering if they really keep a close eye on these recounts...

6. There'll be a recount -- it's automatic
when the margin falls under a certain percentage -- and if only a couple hundred votes separate them, I'm pretty sure this would qualify...

10. They don't have to pay.
It will be paid by the state of WI because the margin was so close. The cost will be $5.00 per ward. If the margin was greater, then Prosser would have to pay, because he is requesting the recount.

Their Government Accountability Board has already had a news conference. The recount is not automatic, either. It is taking place because Prosser requested it.

Everything will be hand counted. They could find even more votes for her.

12. Also, provisional ballots will be counted, too.
Just as long as the people who cast them provide proper ID as per Wisconsin law.

And since colleges are usually the primary source of provisional ballots, we might see Kloppenburg's margin of victory increase.

16. In an election where the two candidates were separated by 204 votes,
small numbers will indeed make a difference.

15. with electronic voting machines it is as easy as hitting the refresh button

We should be using this opportunity to point out the value of paper ballots.

18. I don't think there is a chance.
The US Supreme Court has no authority in this matter.
