Glenn Beck is GONE from Fox

NEW YORK — Glenn Beck is leaving his Fox News Channel show later this year.

The network and Beck's company, Mercury Radio Arts, announced the departure on Wednesday. Fox and the company said they will work together to create other projects for Fox News television and digital.

Beck became a sensation almost immediately after jumping from HLN to Fox for an afternoon program in January 2009.

Lately his viewership has declined. He had faced an advertiser boycott that limited the amount of companies that wanted to be a part of his show after saying President Barack Obama had a "deep-seated hatred for white people."

“Glenn Beck is a powerful communicator, a creative entrepreneur and a true success by anybody’s standards. I look forward to continuing to work with him," said Fox News chairman Roger Ailes in a statement.

Beck said that he "cannot repay (Fox News chief) Roger (Ailes) for the lessons I've learned and will continue to learn from him and I look forward to starting this new phase of our partnership."

24. Rushbo's Not On Teevee

Firstly, rushbo doesn't really make that much. A lot of advertisers boycott his show...but then most major advertisers long bailed on radio. Thus you can't miss what you don't have.

There haven't been any real accurate ratings on rushbo in at least 15 years or longer so the numbers you hear his supporters throw around are made up. Truth is if you can get the hour by hour Arbitron break-outs for the hours he's on in most markets Rush does poorly...especially with anyone under the age of 50.

Rushbo is safe cause he lives in a small, fetid swamp...unless the corporate media makes a stink about what he says, most times it goes unnoticed. With corporate domination of the public airwaves ratings really don't matter...it's the total number of stations he's on that they attempt to sell. And they sell cheap. You won't hear a Fortune 500 on a Rushbo show but fly by night cash for gold scams and stock brokers trolling for fishes.

22. I am sure he will probably resurface somehow. He has enough money he could start his own cable

network now. I am thinking he is probably leaving Fox to put more time into shoring up his radio company and his radio show now that big markets are dropping him. He probably gets more money from radio than Fox anyway.

Or maybe he will work more on his "stand up comedy". I'm thinking he might work with Charlie Sheen and they could do a touring show.
