Have they been counted yet? Remember, absentee ballots are mostly military (at least historically they are) which tend to go conservative.

5. That's true for national elections, but not always for off-year state/local ones.

I think the military percentage of absentee ballots is lower for off-year elections because they just don't garner the same amount of concern that the big ones do. We'll see a higher percentage of elderly/disabled in the absentees, I believe, although it's hard to say whether that's going to be a good thing or a bad thing. If those older folks are largely retired union members or the spouses of union members, it might work out to our benefit. If not...well, we'll see. But we also have the provisional ballots to consider, and those tend to lean HIGHLY in our favor because they're usually cast by working-class people.
