Truth in Advertising as it relates to the GOP.
A great many of those who run for public office identifying themselves as Small Government, Low Taxes, Low Spending Hawks, are NOT.

They claim to be Fiscally Responsible, Small Government loving, types. They LIE.

What they really are is Authoritarian Conservatives who LOVE BIG, INTRUSIVE GOVERNMENT. These types want to Legislate everything to do with the lives of the people, no regulation on business, and no taxes for the Big Corporations and their uber-rich Masters. They want to tell you who to love, how to live, and in some cases how and when to die if you are not apart of their privileged upper uber-rich class. No unions, no civil rights, and heaven forbid religious freedoms unless you believe like they do. They are pro-life, right to lifers until you are born then if you happen to be born with not uber-rich parents, then you are on your own where it comes to health care, preventive health care, food, education, product safety, clean air, clean water, and safe clothes, safe toys and safe food. They believe that those pesky laws about child labor, minimum wages, safe working conditions, equal pay for equal work, no discrimination due to age, race, ethnic background, gender, or any of those other conditions of life that are covered in the amendments to the constitution are to burdensome on Big Business and need to be done away with or made voluntary.

They claim to stand for small, leave me alone, government, yet at the same time they legislate a Big, Intrusive Government.

So I think there needs to be some serious thought to the bait and switch tactics used by the GOP and study up on their record for conservative fiscal policy. They are not a small c conservative type, they are a BIG C, budget busting, deficit raising, Authoritarian Conservative. They are from their Big Intrusive Government and they want to run your life.

They want you to trust them, vote for them, then they want to seal from the poor and push the middle class into the poverty class and give it all to their uber-Rich Masters.

So What do you do. You educate yourself. You speak truth to the lies of those who claim to be small c conservatives and act like big c conservatives. You call them what they are and you vote, you speak out and you never ever give up. What we are fighting for is the our country and our way of life. Or not and one day you may wake up and discover that the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave is now one of Government of for and by Big Business and the UBer-Rich.

1. Uh, maybe you should give credit to Rachel Maddow.
After all, this is directly from her rant last night. ;-)
