1. Yes, but they die quietly like animals going off into the bushes in private.
No sexy planes, tanks, humvees, ships, cool high-tech weaponry, ground shaking ordnance, multi-colored flares, marching music and drama. No fast action for the media.

They just die out of sight and out of mind. :(
