Employers think all is well. Oh, really?
Your employees beg to differ. According to this recent study, their morale is at a three-year low.

3. "More than half of employers say they've had difficulty attracting employees with critical skills"
Edited on Mon Mar-28-11 06:09 PM by Urban Prairie
Those "critical skills" being what?

Previously employed by another company, so that their new employer can bask in the afterglow of believing that his or her business "stole" him or her away, and is much more desirable to work for?

A reputation for brown-nosing and possess skills unrelated to their job requirements, to the point of performing work completely unrelated to their business, at their residence free of charge? (My late father did this occasionally for his boss by being mechanically adept, and doing engine-repair work and routine maintenance on his vehicle at our home).

Young enough, but sufficiently skilled, educated, and experienced, so that they won't cause any increase of employer-paid premiums, or have a spouse who works for a company that provides superior medical/dental insurance, so that they have no need to apply for their insurance?

Willing to take their work home on their unscheduled days, and complete assignments/tasks unpaid, and on their own time?
