CONFIRMED: New Study Proves That Fox News Makes You Stupid

by KingOneEye
Mon Dec 13, 2010 at 04:41:13 PM PST

Yet another study has been released that proves that watching Fox News is detrimental to your intelligence. World Public Opinion, a project managed by the Program on International Policy Attitudes at the University of Maryland, conducted a survey of American voters that shows that Fox News viewers are significantly more misinformed than consumers of news from other sources. What's more, the study shows that greater exposure to Fox News increases misinformation.

So the more you watch, the less you know. Or to be precise, the more you think you know that is actually false.

1. Personally, I say "yes"
When this time is studied by future historians, I think all the documentation we can make about how horrible Fox News is will be good to have around.

2. I would guess it is sort of a chicken/egg type of situation.
You have to start out being kind of stupid to begin with to rely on FAUX NOISE for your information....and then...What you see and hear confirms and enhances your stupidity...

3. I once read about a study done under Clinton
It was a study to determine if wooden toothpicks needed to have a warning label on the side of the package. They wanted to know the danger level of wooden toothpicks. The study cost US taxpayers $500,000 to determine if a toothpick could harm you and if they were harmful enough to require a written warning.

I once thought of that as the dumbest study of all time. I now have a new #1 dumbest study to point to.

Thanks for the link. Posted on FB for all my stupid Faux viewing family to see. :)
