Inspector Failed To Report Problems With Mini Train
Inspector of an S.C. mini-train that crashed, killing 6-year-old, fired for falsifying documentation - WSPA
Spartanburg, SC --
Inspector Donnie Carrigan, the inspector of the mini train that crashed Saturday, immediately came to officials and admitted he did not report the dead battery on the train.
Catherine Templeton, head of LLR, says the dead battery prevented testing the train’s speed.
Templeton also says Carrigan’s national certification was lapsed. The national certification of six other inspectors is also lapsed. Other inspectors are currently undergoing their training, which should be done by April 25.
They still had basic certification.
