For the last 10 years of my career I flew for Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) and have many friends in Japan.
Captain Saito was my first chief pilot at JFK.

The damage of earthquake and tunami are improving day by day but Very slow.

The railroad are not recoverd.

Many Local loads are not restored yet.

The track is not fully running by shortage of gasoline at destination,driver cannot plan when able to return.

A harbor cannot be used. Relief goods etc.cannot be conveyed by ship.

The hovercraft is unsuitable for the broken harbor,although the beach is good.

A nuclear problem is not understood really well.

They are working desperately.
I have received e-mail from the member of NCA

I appreciate from the bottom of my heart.

I regard as very fortunate that many such friends are in the United States.

Pay, working conditions, supervisors, co-workers were all superior to my 20+ years at TWA.
Saito is a sweet man.
Very generous and easy going.
NCA was a start-up company when I went to work for them in 1989 and he was their first chief pilot.

5. I have a friend in Yokohama and her e-mail was very similar.

I believe they are experiencing rolling blackouts and must conserve electricity. Last time I heard from her there was no food to be found at the markets. :(
