I can't think of one conservative idea that works. So why do we have continue to put up with them?

Seriously. Nothing they've ever said or done has ever come to be. So why are their ideas still given any merit?

Why even listen anymore?

Just thought I'd ask.

1. They work great ... just not for us.
Conservative ideas are pushed by those who want the return of slavery (in some form useful to them) and by their partners-in-crime in the M$M.

The movers and shakers benefit.

The rich benefit.

They're all getting what they want.

Now: Why the average citizen -- who gets crushed by all this -- continues to be fooled...

5. How many decades do you need to figure this out?
It was obvious in the 80's what their agenda was. I have no idea how you can watch them enact laws that make you less financially secure, less healthy, and less safe...and continue to reward them with your vote. I'd love to see an IQ test given to a random group of teabaggers and see the results. Might be quite insightful.

Why don't we just kill each other?

10. Your thread is adding nothing. Other than the judicious use of the popcorn icon.
I could give you a list of conservative ideas that work, but you're not interested. The goal of this thread is exactly the goal of the likes of Karl Rove: extreme divisiveness. What's the point? Are you helping? Adding something interesting?

Toxic Sludge is not good for you despite all efforts to say otherwise.

Green energy can work. Since when does oil and other national resources belong to just one or a few people.

Tax cuts to the top have been a disaster.

And on and on.

Happy now?

12. That's the hard part... When you are surrounded by people who's world view
simply can't be reconciled with your own. It is immovable object meets irresistible force. I wish we could simply reach an amicable separation agreement.

And sometimes I think that if we let them have their way no holds barred, even though it will be very painful in the short-term, in the longer run those who believe in the false dogma will have to rethink and retool.

6. Lots of emotional voters.
They appeal to the visceral, almost instinctual side of people. They prey off of the fears of some, the hopes of others, and the stupidity of yet more. They don't pull any punches. They lie with straight faces to tell their peeps what they want to hear and the peeps eat that shit up. Most of their crowd thinks that raising taxes on the top 1% would actually increase their own taxes. In short, they have no shame and no souls.

8. I look to the vampire legends
Frequently in vampire legends, humans serve vampires.

Perhaps they seek to do the bidding of the vampires so that one day their vampire master will convert them into one of the undead.

Perhaps the vampire master has no intention of converting them, and never even promises this gift, but the human believes they are better off as a overseer--even if one is still a slave to their vampire master.

I think it helps a lot to explain the Teabaggers, except the Teabaggers just don't realize they serve vampires--like the Kochs.

9. Creating a "surplus" in the social security fund is a conservative idea that didn't work either.
Yet the left will insist it worked perfectly and the fund is completely solvent, ignoring the fact that the funds have been spent.

14. I agree and have thought so for a while. I'm in a running
email discussion with a RW (going on three years) and we have a hard time even agreeing on the problems, let alone the solution. Re your OP only part of the problem is a lack of ideas that are demonstrably successful...the other part is a willingness to go low and lie, confuse, smear, deceive, and spread misinformation. This is because they are on the wrong side of the issues and only have confusion and fear left. It is undemocratic and irresponsible.
