"Inspired by the hundreds of thousands of people who have been protesting in Madison, in Wisconsin and around the U.S., I wanted to contribute in my own way to the movement. I wanted to write a song about not only our anger, but also the amazing solidarity we've seen among such a hugely diverse group of people. But I also didn't want to just reminisce. I wanted a call to action.

1. Funny thing about respect.

Respect is earned, some have respect by there actions.

Some demand respect to keep people in line.


You can see the deep desire for respect in Oligarchs they feel respect is first and foremost, because from that they can get loyalty and followship.

If they have not earned respect don't give it to them.

And when they tried to take my beer and travel money, while I was in the right, they lost respect. Now they want people to be civil or respect there 'decisions' they have no right to make those decisions.

They have been claiming a right they do not have, nor should have. Don't respect those that wont even pass a tax on themselves when they are stealing from health and pension funds for no reason but a thirst for power, or thinking people have to be ruled by them, when they show they do not rule better.


And send me the beer and travel money that is due.

I went up to madison (from st.louis) this weekend to stand up with the protest/rally. We went to the st. patricks day parade too, so it was especially nice to hear the bagpipes in this song.
I didn't see them in the parade , but the elvis float performer had changed some lyrics about walker (wish i could remember them).
Every movement needs good music!!!!!!!!!!!
