However, a huge portion of these people are batshit crazy. How do you compromise with "batshit crazy"? Why should you?

If everything they believe is bad for the average citizen and bad for the country, why should anyone feel the impetutus to "work with them"?

Nothing gets accomplished and we surrender more and more of everything we have worked for. What does it gain us?

Compromise on everything until you morph into a Republican.

Is that our only solution?

You compromise and meet on ground and pass legislation while realizing that being the bigger person and not holding out for your "pure" want is something all people do, almost everyday, without morphing into anything else other then who they are..


Maybe the solution is to realize it's not US vs Them. Even though they would like it to be.

maybe the solution is to realize that while I may not enjoy some of the things republicans offer and do, that trying to work with them doesn't "MAKE" me anything other then who I am. Just like it doesn't change who President Obama is.

where as he views them, in no uncertain terms, as annoying/rude/inane yet also elected officials that he must, on his day to day fend off rapid attacks from, all the while not degrading the Office of the President to a level of cable news punditry.
