Cnn just said that the winds will be blowing from the NE so any released radiation will be blown back onto japan.

...who live on the Kanto Plain where Tokyo is located.

They are also predicting light rain/snow, which will ensure it gets back to the ground in what is probably the worst possible place.

down across the reactors and down Japan.
