They do have a decent pension, always have, but it isnt THAT decent.

5. Gee-took 5 minutes to find the lying statistic here....
Look at the heading "assumes 7% annual raise"....read down the columns "years to retirement" and see how that relates to gross retirement amounts... Of course no one, teachers included have averaged 7% pay raises for 34 consecutive years. In fact if you look at wages in 1977 vs: today and adjust for inflation wages have been nearly flat for decades. Not to mention adding administrators and superintendents to a graphic representing "teachers" is like adding French Chefs to a graphic about "frycooks"...
