5. The MSM won't cover it, but they will cover a dozen teabaggers,
and will do so repeatedly.

Wow, though. It looks as though all of Wisconsin rallied in Madison today! If the crowds were close to 200,000, (189,000, as one thread has said), and the population of the state is only some 50,000 or so more than that, then in fact the equivalent of most of the state's populaton showed up. Nevertheless, the jerks who claim to be representing the people of the state still refuse to heed the people's wishes and demands, while doing the bidding of a couple of billionaires who don't even live in Wisconsin!

8. Holy nuts to butts!!!
Can't freaking believe there was next to zero coverage on this today! That is a pure sea of people! (and when I say "I can't believe it," I mean that I can totally believe those fucks in the corporate-owned media didn't bother dedicating any coverage to it).

16. It absolutely was.
We got there by 10am. By the time the tractocade finished at 11:30, there was hardly any elbow room. You either went with the flow or found some place to get out of the way. By the time the Fab 14 spoke came out of their press conference and walked around the square, it was wall-to-wall people around the whole thing.

Impressive. There's always a lot of people on the square for the Farmer's Market on summer Saturdays, but this blew me away.

21. Wake up Lady Liberty
The right wing governmental take over by the wealthy and corporate interests is slowly being discovered by the american people. Career politicians whose next elections are already owned by thousands of lobbyists who fund their campaigns have now targeted the right of workers to organize in a concerted effort to take away those rights. Let's remember unions are the ones who brought working americans WEEKENDS, 8 HOUR WORKING DAYS, OVERTIME PAY, HEALTH AND RETIREMENT BENEFITS. While ABC, NBC and CBS go night after night with little or no mention of massive protests in many states where the right to organize is being attacked, working americans are beginning to realize what is happening. The right wing is made up of the wealthy, ignorant americans who don't understand the difference between religious conservatism and political conservatism, and other ignorant americans who believe that small government and less restriction on citizens are a good way for america to go. This last group has been duped. They have the wealthy on their side because the wealthy don't want governmental restrictions. The wealthy would like to continue profiting maximally by eliminating the interference of the EPA and FDA, raping our land and feeding americans poison. The wealthy bankers don't want those pesky limits to interest rates, bad loans, monopolies etc. America has become a plutocracy (ruled by the wealthy).

The good news is that word is getting out among working people about this coup of the wealthy. It is only a matter of time before a tsunami of educated Americans change things with their votes. Americans want to stop the profitable war machine that is costing us trillions of dollars. Last year, 3/4 of all corporations paid NO INCOME TAX. Many of them received billions of dollars in subsidies. All of America's corporations paying taxes only accounted for 1% of our gross national product. Single parent dish-washers pay taxes at a higher rate than our wealthy and higher than corporations. But that's not enough for the wealthy, now they're going after the lower and middle income taxpayers for cash to continue their wars and low tax rates. Now we want to go after our teachers and government employees for money to run America. What is wrong with this picture? Wake up America! No one wants to take your stupid gun. They are after taking your MONEY and protecting theirs. Wall street is making money at crazy rates while the middle class is dying. Corporations ship our jobs overseas to maximize profits and still get away with not paying taxes. Wake up! We can change all of this with our votes. We need campaign reform and the death of lobbies. Most of the career politicians running our country are not going to vote to take away their campaign funding sources. We have to vote for change.
