1. k&r.
I'm tired of USA stations breathlessly talking about boats getting shoved around (which are a problem) and not about life/death/catastrophe in Japan.

2. I haven't seen how it's being covered in the US
Edited on Fri Mar-11-11 03:30 PM by Turborama
What have they been saying, that boats float? Do they talk a lot about the effect it will have on the financial markets, too?

It wouldn't surprise me at all if it really was that lame.

7. Getting my 1st taste of it now watching AC360. He's only interviewing American expats in Japan
No discussions with any Japanese people in the past 1 1/4 hours, I expect the same for the next 45 minutes.

Oh, and he's just announced he's on his way to Japan now. I wonder if he'll talk to any Japanese people when he's there?

5. I found it darkly reminiscent of pictures taken from the air after the Enola Gay paid Japan a visit
in 1945.

12. Yes. I have just seen on Russian TV that the Fukushima
reactor has had an explosion. All of our media are gone for the weekend, so it has not been reported on CNN or any of the other networks yet.

They are not sure if it is in meltdown and are expecting a statement from the government soon. No reports if anyone was killed, but from the footage it seems that it was a very big explosion.

It does look like a war zone, so tragic. Official death toll now has risen to over 1,000 according to RT.
