I tried to phone him first but the machine told me the President of the United States could only answer his phone line during normal business hours. I was saddened that our local 7-11 has a longer window for contact. If slurpees can run at 7-11 using minimum wage workers every day of the year, I figured my tax dollars could buy a three shift answering machine. In twenty minutes I received an E-mail to sign up for daily notices of what they would like to tell me. I haven't yet received the E-mail my brother tells me he routinely gets that thanks him for his interest, touts what they consider their best recent achievement and then ignores completely whatever he actually wrote. I expect that tomorrow.

See, here's the thing-my brother and I are both high school drop-outs who have raised a family, paid our bills, and can write in a manner even Ivy League graduates should easily comprehend, but we may as well have written in ancient Aramaic or Old Low Norse. Not because we are past comprehension but because they CAN NOT BE BOTHERED to attempt actual communication.

If they replied to a campaign contributor like they reply to a normal citizen their next campaign would be sharpie signs on corrugated cardboard.
