If your name is on Forbes "World's Richest Men" list you should
bury your head in shame. I was pleased to see Gates drop by one point. He still has a long way to go to not burn in hell.

1. I don't understand this hatred for the rich only because they are rich.
Edited on Thu Mar-10-11 08:06 AM by DrDan
Hate them for being dishonest, for lacking ethics and morals, for preying on others, for seeking wealth at the expense of the environment or the safety of others. But simply because they have a lot of money? I don't understand that.

Would you love someone simply because they have none? That would seem to follow.

....like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg....then they launder their money into some charity in their name and give it to their other rich buddies for their own social purposes....like charter schools-yay! And we're supposed to appreciate they are so giving.

have committed great crimes and are criminals. Thank you for the confirmation. So do you fantasize about about Noam Chomsky doing the perp walk in an orange jump suite? Do you think similarly of anyone who has something that you don't have?

26. Investing in War Profiteering?
Not using their wealth and power(with few exceptions) to stop the other rich assholes that are ruining our country.

Oprah gave us Arnold, and supported the wars and all the other atrocities. She puts a happy face on repubs..
She helped elect Obama, and has done nothing to point out his broken promises, his lack of caring for people in New Orleans or anything else. She. Sucks.

and these guys *
John Kerry
* Nancy Pelosi
* Harry Reid
* Dianne Feinstein

They are all responsible for what is happening in this country.

27. Since I have commented on disparity of wealth.

And I don't hate anyone, that would be a waste of thought and time. Although I have different level of respect for different people, as do all people.

And it is obvious that having billionaires in a society shows societal systems are non-functional, if you think people matter.

19. I think the problem is
the "system" that allows that much wealth disparity in the first place. Most of those people will probably claim they played by the rules. If that's the case then the rules need to change.

34. Amassing that amount of wealth is usually the result of greed. I think
many of the world's richest people are suffering from greedy personality disorder. They should classify it as a disorder in the DSM. These people (most of them anyway), eat, sleep and live money and the accumulation of it 24 hours a day. They also compete with each other to see who can get the most of it. It's a very sick thing, and yet they are ranked and celebrated for it. Crazy world.
