End of the Unraveling, start of the Crisis
It's difficult to definitively state when one season of the saeculum ends and another begins, but I think we are in the midst of transition from Unraveling to Crisis.

2. You read that book too?
You didn't even mention the book that you are talking about, but I know what book you are talking about.

I think the Crisis began in September 2008.

5. The Fourth Turning
You might want to check it out of the library, or pick up a copy and read it. It charts patterns and trends in society since the 1500's, in eighty-year increments.

What was happening in America eighty years ago today?

6. I could use the term used by Toynbee for this
but this is not the unraveling, we are now firmly in the crisis.

The unraveling was the 2008 10 period, I think,

All quibbles, we are there

8. My bad
I was referring to "The Fourth Turning", which I'm currently reading. Have not read "Generations".
