Scenes from flooding in San Diego today including dramatic video:

San Diego River reached two feet above flood level today, the worst flood in memory. The flooding shut down trains, busses, Sea World, forced evacuation of major hotels in Mission Valley and flooded Qualcomm Stadium, where tomorrow's Poinsettia Bowl is supposed to be played. Our photographers captured some amazing moments.

Dramatic video of floodwaters rushing across roadway in Mission Valley here: http://www.eastcountymagazine.org/node/5072

Downstream, a motorist who is lucky to still be alive. Note the irony of a banner with local shopping center's name, "Hazard Center":

A sinkhole 20-30 feet across by 6 feet deep opened up in Santee, a neighborhood in San Diego's East County:

Tennis anyone? This property owner in Blossom Valley found a creative place to shelter her horses after finding them knee-deep in water in her pasture:

My neighbor has a new waterfall where the front yard used to be:

If you're in Arizona, watch out! This monster storm is headed your way next.

1. Yikes!
Too bad it wasn't snow. At least it wouldn't be flooding all over the place.

2. Great pics, thank you.
We are in Ojai Valley and it has been raining for several days, but today the sun finally came out. But all over the place, creeks became rivers, lots of potholes that look like puddles until you drive into them and everything is soaking wet. But it ended today, earlier than expected, so I guess we were lucky as far as I know, there was no real damage.
