4. I will reiterate: The media is our enemy. It reaches

every home in the country in one manner or another. It does not mind lying. It gives us made-up scenarios with just a tinge of truth to cause us to read further or listen harder.

3. Sad to think with all the behavioral research that's been done

We still haven't realized that people receive information differently. Huge numbers of people cannot process non-verbal language. Say the same thing to Democrats and Republicans and they hear different things. The Republicans have been brilliant in using this. We haven't. We haven't bothered to communicate with them in a way they can receive the information. Too sure of our own righteousness, too quick to condemn when it doesn't get through.
