I don't do OP's very often, and I hope this isn't a dupe, but I had to share:

Get a few sharpies and a pack of 3M Super-Sticky Post-Its – they are tough, colorful, and won’t damage surfaces but stick well. Carry them around and use them to comment on that which blocks you yet shouldn’t.

Write before you stick! Getting marker on anything but the note due to soak through or a slip would be seriously uncool.

Place a post it note on the obvious physical symbol of whatever barrier, process, or action is clearly impeding your participation in your democracy, examples include:

* Unreasonably locked doors
Barricades & ropes
Beside signs with silly rules

Lots of pix of individual post-its, plus a few glorious ones of the doors all covered with bits of colorful paper. It's like a low-tech Twitter crossed with the 95 Theses.

Post-It notes are declared a weapon of mass destruction, a tool of the very devil himself, and police are authorized to use deadly force to bring down anyone brandishing a Post-It.
