Second child's body found in luggage in Delray Beach canal

Delray Beach police on Wednesday found the bodies of two young children stuffed in luggage in a Delray Beach canal on Wednesday within hours of each other.

A girl's body, between the ages of 6 and 12, was found in a duffel bag around 9 a.m. in the C-15 canal, west of the Carl Bolter Drive bridge, according to Delray Beach Police Sgt. Nicole Guerriero.

Hours later, around 3 p.m., Delray Beach and Boca Raton police divers found the boy's body, between the ages of 10 and 12, stuffed in a canvas suitcase. The boy's body was about a 1/2-mile west of where the girl's body was found, Guerriero said.

The little girl is described as black and weighing between 70 and 90 pounds. She is just over 4 feet tall and her hair was braided with white or clear beads, according to the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner's Office
