What you are seeing now on the TV is exactly
what the Republicans think of us the little people. This is what you are seeing on the TV right now? This is union busting.

And he was told we AGREED to the cuts, but this asshole is sticking to the talking points.

This is just amazing. These republicans do not realize that they are setting themselves on the path to a social crisis that may lead to a revolution, and I mean that... at the very least this little uprising must be scaring Republicans and elites. This is not what they expected.

It doesn't matter which one you vote for.

14. while I am extremely disillusioned
you are wrong... if we had a congress with a very large majority of Democrats in both houses things would be better... not necessarily optimal but surely better

15. Sadly agree. Both parties are owned by
the corporations and the citizens have no one on their side.

16. I agree, but...
There is still a difference between R & D. If we abandon the Dems we have, the Pubes win.

19. Yep. That's why lots of Democratic Governors are busting our unions too.
Oh wait...they're not.

23. But nor are they advancing the cause of the "common labourer".
The best that can be said for Democratic polititans as a whole in America is that (since the 60s and 70s) they have slowed progress to the right, in a handful of instances clawed back a fraction of ground lost, and made a little progress on behalf of the differently gendered.

However, when push comes to shove, the unpallatable truth is that the modern Democratic Party in America occupies a position on the political spectrum well to the right of Richard Nixon's Republicans.

Democratic Governors, Houses and Senates may not actively work to bust unions, strip away worker's rights, but they do little to stand in the way when Republicans set out to do these things. And are more likely to take advantage of such errosion of rights when their turn comes around, than do anything towards returning those rights to the people.

The Democratic Party is very much a tool of the nation's true corporate masters.

3. Are they scared? Because I think they are not - I think they are supremely confident, I think
they believe they have already permanently won the war.

and I wonder if their extreme confidence is deserved or just delusional...

5. We were talking about that here at home just awhile ago. Eventually people are
going to wake up to what is going on, and they are really going to be pissed. Even the teabaggers are going to be pissed when they eventually realize they are being F'ed over by the real elites. The talking points of many R's are really insane.

I just can't believe the majority of Americans are sitting back thinking this is good stuff. Eventually the majority will fully wake up and realize they are being had. I would not be surprised to see a LW revolution in my lifetime.

8. I think it will happen exponentially. Suddenly a lot of people are going
to say WTF. I think many have issues with the crap going on if they start thinking about it ... once they start talking over fences, so to say, it's going to spread quickly. We're getting closer!

10. I never know if they really expect it or not.
One needs all the facts at one's disposal and we can be pretty sure now that transparency and accountability are history.

So, regardless of whether they are fomenting this or falling blindly into it, (I'm agnostic on that for now) it is certainly shaking up the body politic and presenting an iron fist to the face of the people in a push comes to shove sort of way.

I think it is better to confront that iron fist of corporate takeover now with integrity and peaceful bravery than to wake-up to a boot stomping on a human face ... forever.

We can see that nothing less than ALL will satisfy the new regime on its way to victory. Nothing less than all. That means that, left unchecked, the travesty will continue and our collective situation will worsen. This is a very good time to play down divisive issues, (both artificially-induced and skillfully inflamed) and consider the importance of solidarity since the stakes are exceedingly high for anyone not in the upper stratosphere of the deadbeat rich, their wealthy minions and their stable of groomed and paid for politicians.

The key to relieving fear is quite the opposite of denial. It is when you understand what is happening to you and why; that's when you find your strength and can move forward with bravery and conviction.

And the mass media, (TV) is obviously not on your side. I'm glad to see people realizing that. It is a major step for us all.

13. I dunno. The Ohio legislature passed its version of Wisconsin's bill today.
Kasich and the other ball washers literally couldn't care less what the people want. It's all about their agenda and tough shit to whomever gets in the way.

I fear the worst for our country, I really do.
It's going to get MUCH worse. :(

(I'm not sure I posted this in the right place, if not please forgive as I am very upset right now.)

25. Unfortunately, the Ohio House is heavily weighted with repubs.
I heard that tonight that it's something like 59-40....so there's no chance of the bill not passing. The Senate was the best bet for the Dems and they did get 6 repubs...one shy of what they needed. Sad. This was reported on Ed Schultz's show.
