Fox News Airs Random Protest Video To Make Wisconsin Demonstrations Appear Violent
http://thinkprogress.org/2011/03/02/fox-protest-violent/

Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly isn’t happy that protesters in Wisconsin have been calling out his network for its shoddy journalism practices. Last week, O’Reilly sent his ambush goon Jesse Watters out to badger people protesting Fox outside their studios in New York. On Monday during an interview with Fox News’ Mike Tobin, who is reporting from Wisconsin, O’Reilly was at it again, calling chants that “Fox lies” from pro-union demonstrators “some kind of organized deal.” But during the interview, Fox aired b-roll of some unknown protest that contained physical confrontations among demonstrators and simply labeled it “union protests,” as if it was coming out of Wisconsin.

Digby asked of the video, “What’s wrong with this picture?” adding, “If you guessed the snowless ground and palm trees in Wisconsin you win a big prize. Your sanity.”

Update The footage Fox aired during O'Reilly's discussion of the Wisconsin demonstrations appears to have come from a union rally in Sacramento, CA last week.

4. I'm starting to think that just makes it worse.
We'll never have just plain news.

true/not true always takes work. or something.

7. No, we need a real "news" station period.
Liberal and Conservative should not have any bearing on the news. News should be FACTS not ideology.

5. Same old same old
FOX gets away with this, they lie so much even the watch dogs miss stuff every day. We need to keep exposing it, keep posting links of it. Do it every day.

Everyone on here should be involved in at least one conservative discussion board, keep posting these every day. There's a lot of logical and decent Conservatives out there that don't appreciate being lied to all the time. They just don't know it. By continually re-posting the blatant and obviously deliberate lies we can make a big difference.

I have converted several people in the last ten years.

You have to expose the lies. Over and over.

so fucking stupid and so blind that they wouldn't even notice those Wisconsin Palm Trees in the background.

I don't understand how even Freepers can watch a channel that treats them like complete morans.

I'm sure BillO will apologize for the "techs that made the error" tonight, as he hates being called out for his shit.

The video clearly shows palm trees and no snow on the ground and to say its from Wisconsin, I mean seriously..wtf?? IF idiotic Fox viewers scream about the violence in Madison, maybe they should ask WHERES THE DAMN SNOW, first?

THEN AGAIN..I wonder how many of them can even FIND Wisconsin on a map??

10. Of course there are palm trees in Wisconsin, you libruls!
Isn't that part of that global warming you're always going on about? It's perfect weather for shirtsleeves and tank tops in Wisconsin.

Shhhh! Don't tell the Tea Baggers. Let them show up in Madison dressed for the Major League All-Star Game and be pleasantly surprised.
