ok, I realize the source is a 3rd-rate right-wing fishwrap, but the article is very disturbing. I believe sexual freedom between consenting adults is a basic human right, but the repressive religious environment of Afghanistan has apparently made pedophillia a viable alternative to pre-marital heterosexual intercourse.

While I find this terribly disturbing, I don't believe we can force our morals on others, much like we can't force the Islamic world to provide women equal rights. We need to turn inward and ensure that all people living in America have their basic rights protected. America has to stop trying to shape the world in an image we like, as painful as it may be to read stories like the one I linked.
