Douglasville official and son charged
On the day when more than a thousand people paid their last respects to a 16-year-old Villa Rica girl who died in a car crash, more charges and arrests came Friday in the case.

Jason Lark, charged with vehicular homicide in the Feb. 19 death of Cheyenne Sauls, faced an additional charge Friday in Magistrate Court.

Four other defendants were charged — including Douglaville city official Richard Todd McAllister, 42, the owner of the Douglas County home where a bonfire party was attended by Lark, Sauls and other teens.

McAllister is the chief code enforcement officer for Douglasville.

I know Todd, I worked with him at the City of Douglasville, in the Street Department. I spent many a day in a city dump truck with him. We hunted together a few times, our sons are the same age. Was it worth it, Todd? Jeez dude, you're probably losing your job, your pension and eventually everything you own to a lawsuit. WTF man!?!?

I don't find too many things surprising anymore. Hell, just last month here in our little town the cops busted an underage drinking party... and found an off-duty officer there drinking with the teenagers. We also had the baseball coach at the high school resign after it was revealed that he was having an "improper relationship" with a student. Actually, that's nothing new, or surprising, in our town...
