Sacramento Solidarity Protest – Union Leadership Where the Fuck were YOU
We Get It.

Us lunch box toting, knuckle dragging construction workers understand 1 thing about the Wisconsin Solidarity Protest and the Koch sponsored assault on the Public Employee's Union Collective Bargaining Rights. Collective Bargaining is a basic Human Right and is directly supported by the U.S. Constitution (promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity,) and we demand the Corporate sponsored assault on Union Bargaining Rights be halted immediately

We, the membership are out there in force showing support for the Workers in Wisconsin – but without our elected leadership and the full support of our Unions. The Unions Leadership we pay to organize, arbitrate our grievances, and organize our political action committees was not present and accounted for.

I encourage each and every one here to ask Harry Rotz of the Sacramento Building Trades Council why they did not sanction today’s Solidarity Protest for ALL the Trade Unions and instruct their leadership to be present and accounted for in America’s fight for the Worker’s Rights

2. don`t feel bad....
my wife is the sec/treasurer of her local afscme union and the president and vice president are teabaggers. she`s the chair of the political committee but they won`t back her. the president wrote a newsletter before the last election blaming her if the republican canidate for governor lost...he did.

needless to say she`s not running for office if those two teabaggers run again

8. I am not in the union, hubby is
and if I could start to tell the ways.

The unions also will need quite a bit of cleanup at the top.

6. I'll tell this story one more time.
Today at the protest in RI, a woman got up to speak.

She wasn't scheduled to speak.

She was out shopping with the children and happened upon the protest. She is a teacher.

She was upset the Union didn't rally the troops.

She stayed behind to take names and numbers of people who might be willing to organize protests.

And just yesterday all the teachers in providence found out they were getting fired.

They will receive their dismissal letters in the mail.

It's a shame.

9. I was thinking the disappointing turnouts may be because the larger portion
of the public isn't aware or simpatico with WI, but you make a good point about the union leadership dropping the ball. Did you see the big ass Teamsters 18 wheeler in nad's pics of San Diego? Impressive!

Too bad. Well, we gotta keep on -- momentum's on our side and we can't give up now.

10. I'll upload the pics of the Teamsters 18 wheeler in Sac
For some reason the event wasn't sanctioned for the Union Leadership.

A few Teamsters showed up and they had a HUGE inflatable Badger holding Scott Walker in it's hand. But they didn't have a permit and the CHP made them take it down after 20 minutes or so

12. If you are not paying attention on the internet, you don't know anything about this stuff
Teevee & newspapers don't deliver the current and/or relevant information.

There are still a LOT of people who rely on the teevee & papers for there "most trusted" info. Heck, they pay BIG BUCKS for cable every month! Therefore those sources MUST be telling the truth & most current info, right???? Right???? Or why else would all of these people be paying for OLD, PROPAGANDA-ized information????
