Rally at (Colorado) capitol supports Wisconsin public workers

Supporters of labor rights, including many teachers and non-union workers, rallied outside the capitol today to send a message to employees in Wisconsin who have been rallying for more than a week to keep collective bargaining rights.

"To the people of Wisconsin we say, we've got your back," said Mark Sass, a teacher who spoke to the crowd.

Organizers estimated the crowd at more than 3,000 people.

A few Tea Party protesters also showed up near the end of the rally , but several Colorado State Patrol troopers kept the peace by standing between the groups while activists yelled across the troopers during a discussion.
