This is the current ad campaign for the Navy. Although I agree in principle, is that the way to characterize a branch of the military? Two more accurate slogans would be "Americas Navy: Don't F**k with us." Or maybe "Americas Navy: Which side are you on?"

when it comes to lobbing high-explosive shells into residential urban areas, the U.S. Navy has no peers (unless maybe it's the U.S. Air Force).

Blowing shit up might be 'a force for good' or it might be 'fucking evil', depending on circumstances. Claiming a military force of any sort is a 'global force for good' is just nonsense. Your first slogan is the most accurate.
