Quick question: Is there a way to see what the newest post is on a thread?
I get lost on some of these threads with over a 100 posts.

2. If I haven't clicked "Mark" at the top of the page, hit Ctrl + F and search

the page for "#212" or whatever number represents the total post count in the thread.
Some minor adjustments in search strategy may be necessary if posts in the thread get deleted.

(hitting "Mark" at the top of any page will mark all posts the entire Forum or Group, e.g., General Discussion, Economy & Jobs, as read, changing their icon from yellow to grey. All post icons made in that Forum after hitting "Mark" will be yellow)

3. the Mark function, on the top of the page...
if you are in a forum, and you hit the "Mark" button, it turns all the threads in that forum "grey."

When someone posts a new post, to a thread in the forum in which you hit the "mark" button, that thread becomes Yellow...and the new post will have a little yellow flag attached to it inside the thread.

4. Yes:
When you return to a thread after your last visit, new posts will automatically be marked in yellow.

If you prefer to mark manually, you can do that:

Go to "Options."

Go to "Edit your preferences."

Go to "Use MARK time stamp feature?"

If you select the last option, you can click "Mark" at the top of the page to exclude all later posts from being yellow on your next visit to the thread. Only subsequent posts will display with the yellow marker.

6. That's very cool, thanks, I was wondering about this, too. :)
I've been using control+f to search a thread and just going by post number. It can get chaotic.

7. Hey, those long threads can be a nightmare!
I learn new things every day here. When I finally have a grasp on something, I'm happy to pass it on.

Many others have helped--and continue to help--me along the way.
