The site's been available only minutes now, but as soon as I checked it, I found a yellow "caution" warning from McAfee SiteAdvisor:
http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/foknewschannel.comMcAfee TrustedSource web reputation analysis found potential suspicious behavior on this site which may pose a security risk. Use with caution.
According to McAfee, their warning about the site is due to
e-mail tests for foknewschannel.com:
Promoted through spammy e-mail
Our analysis found that this site may be promoted through spammy e-mail.
To the best of my knowledge, this site hasn't been promoted through ANY emails, and it couldn't have been promoted in the way they say they test sites for spam.
This page at McAfee explains how they check for any problems with "spammy email":
http://www.siteadvisor.com/howitworks/site_report_definitions.html#webreputationE-mail indicates our overall opinion of a website's e-mail practices. The e-mail test used by SiteAdvisor technology is an "action-result" test. The action is providing a unique e-mail address to forms found on the site; the result is the e-mail received. McAfee's e-mail test does not attempt to identify the reasons for, or the source of, the emails. We simply count the e-mail received by that address and score it for spam-like characteristics.
Keith just launched this site, his not-for-profit blog. There's no way for ANYONE to sign up and receive any email so far, let alone "spammy emails."
Is anyone here a reviewer for McAfee? This needs to be corrected asap. Keith can contact them, too.
Norton Safe Web gives the site a Safe rating, the correct rating:
