The Imperial Walker's "budget plan" hits me directly.
I can't afford to own a car, so I depend on the bus service when the weather is lousy and I can't ride my bicycle.
Gotta give your Koch brother pimps more, don't you, Walker you whore! :grr:

Sheboygan's transit system could lose $1.4 million a year in federal funds should the state Legislature approve Gov. Scott Walker's budget repair bill without any changes, which could put an end to the service because the city couldn't afford to make up the difference, Mayor Bob Ryan said.

1. Why doesn't Sheboygan
Just institute a $25 per person citizens tax to cover the difference?

Surely you and your fellow sheboyganites have $25 a piece to support something as crucial as public transit.

3. Cities don't have this power under state law

The current year is covered under the taxes already levied and cannot be changed. The $ would have to be moved from another area. Cities cannot levy a personal income tax.

2. Don't worry, Walker's massive tax breaks for corporations will trickle down to fund the Bus service.
