Four years!

Four years ago I had a portion of my right lung removed due to cancer. Got tested a couple days ago and the doc just called -- lungs are crystal clear!!! Whooooyeeeeee!!!

So help me celebrate, will ya? If you can, attend one of the solidarity rallies this weekend and give an extra fist pump and holler for me. If you can't get to a rally, call someone you haven't talked to for a while, check in, tell them you love 'em. (Heck, you don't need me for that, just thought I'd toss it in there!)

And smile - we're on the winning side, here!

I'm also a cancer survivor so I know exactly how you are feeling. Each day is a special gift after going through the nightmare of treatments. I can't get to a rally but I am going to visit a friend tomorrow who was recently diagnosed with cancer. Loved your post!!!

I probably can't make it to a rally Saturday but did go Tuesday at the State Capitol in Santa Fe, and it was wonderful, and despite knowing what we are up against, I feel an optimism about the ultimate outcome that I haven't felt in years. I'd posted this before, but as a 4 year anniversary present, here is a video of a brief speech by a great progressive state senator here. have to wait for it to fully load (dialup, ya know). I miss Albuquerque! Went to high school there, lived there til '76. Should have stayed! My last HS reunion I was in town for four days and was lost the entire time, it's really grown!

6. Good for you, ma'am! I had my surgery in July, 1997, followed by 6 weeks of radiation and ...

here I am, almost 14 years later! I'll keep you in my thoughts.
