If President Obama wanted to address the random rage accumulating around the country,
he needs to address the corruption addressed by the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission (FCIC).

This is discussed by William Greider in the Feb. 21 issue of The Nation magazine.

http://www.thenation.com/article/158274/fcic-report-turns-blind-eye-wall-street-fraud

As Greider states: "Instead of ignoring the FCIC report, the president should embrace its content and demand an aggressive follow-up by federal prosecutors and regulatory agencies.

The issue at stake here is far more threatening than smug elites seem to understand. Nothing erodes the authority and legitimacy of government more severely than a spreading awareness of unequal justice. The feds send hapless drug mules to prison for twenty years. For billion-dollar swindles, they won’t even call a grand jury. This corrosive contradiction can become a national disease. Americans are learning from these events—another investigation with shocking evidence, but not much happens afterward. This will sound farfetched, I know, but this is a road that leads eventually to Cairo."

Americans are learning that the financial and political elites are immune from prosecution for major crimes. When our government refuses to prosecute these elitists, it makes it crystal clear that our government no longer represents the people.

It's about time for some change.

3. When people are pushed up against the wall and have nothing
further to lose, then we may see drastic change. Until then the voices from the wilderness will not be heard. The monied elites are so far above the fray that they can not hear the cries of injustice for they feel justice is being served.

President Obama, not too long ago, told the people that he needed to hear from the people on which way to go. I can only assume which people he actually heard.

We can have real change if we want it.

The solution is obvious.

8. As I stated in another thread, this crooked system benefits the very people who'd need to fix it.
So, therefore, it's highly, highly unlikely to get fixed. At least, it won't get fixed because they set in motion events intended to fix it.

I don't necessarily see things leading to Cairo, but I do see membership in third parties expanding - at the expense of the two existing National parties.

10. We the People Need to "Fix" It
and the economic elite had better have an ex-pat place to crash on.

15. If President Obama would
demand an aggressive follow-up by federal prosecutors and regulatory agencies I would begin to believe in him again. And, frankly, that is about what it would take at this point. Tell ya what, if he doesn't demand an aggressive follow-up by federal prosecutors and regulatory agencies, I will vote for someone else. How is that?
