Search warrants target sexual Facebook

BEAVER, Pa. (AP) — State police say they’re using search warrants to get computer records to find out who created a Facebook page that included photos of 25 mostly high school girls with fabricated material of a sexual nature.

State police in Beaver say the social networking site has taken down the “Beaver County Hoez” Facebook page, as well as at least one similar page that was posted after Facebook officials took down the first page Wednesday. Facebook officials haven’t commented, but police say they are cooperating.

Police say the photos were taken from the actual Facebook pages of the victims, some as young as 13, but included fake biographical material that was explicitly sexual.

Police received complaints from parents on Tuesday. Troopers and Beaver County prosecutors say those responsible for the site will likely face harassment by communication, and other charges.
