Deferred Compensation
Back in the 70s during an economic crisis, (not as bad as now but it was a crisis), public employee unions across the country made concessions in salary negotiations. They agreed in exchange for salary increases, they would accept increases in pension contributions. So the employer would put more into a pension fund instead of a raise in salary.

THIS IS CALLED DEFERRED COMPENSATION

As a public employee, I consider my pension to be money I earned. But because it is deferred, I don't see that money until I retire.

Don't take it away from me NOW.

If you think my pension is unfair, fine. I'll take that deferred compensation NOW in the form of cash added to my next paycheck.

If you think public employees are strangling local and state governments with unreasonable pensions, then you don't understand DEFERRED COMPENSATION.

2. After living in Wisconsin, I could see how the conservanazis greed is causing most of this.
The Wisconsin conservanazis HAVE to have something to complain about. Well, the conservanazi talking heads on AM hate radio has probably been pushing things like this for years. The conservanazis hate the Teachers Union, WEAC. Personally, I believe it's because they support the Democrats. I worked in the Milwaukee Public Schools for a while. The teachers WORK very hard and have to try to teach some of the most disrespectful, unruly types everyday. I didn't envy their jobs. One thing I knew for sure was the fact that many liked WEAC was the legal aid they received for being members. I'm sure there are many false accusations made by some to try to ruin teacher's lives and careers.

The conservanazis and their toadies have been demonizing the unions for years, especially the teachers. I think they are probably the most powerful in the state. EVERY conservanazi hatemonger on Milwaukee AM radio has blasted teachers for years.

I was a member of a club. We had an older member who was a very active person. I knew he owned a few auto parts franchises. The man was a hard worker. The topic came up about taxes. Now, here's an 80 year old man's take on Wisconsin taxes. He said that Wisconsin is very generous. Very safe. The water and environment are in good condition. The roads are good and especially in the winter when the snows cause great problems, the municipal workers keep the roads clean and commerce can carry own. That all comes at a cost. Now, most whining cheeseheads are cheap and greedy in most matters. He said they all want something for nothing, never realizing that they want everything for nothing.

Every cheesehead I worked with complained about taxes. If they thought something was going to benefit the poor, oh man, talk about pissed.

So, take all that into the situation.

Teachers in Wisconsin are not payed enough. Dedicated teachers have negotiated a good compensation package with their deferred compensation. Now, Gov. Wanker and his conservanazi buddies want to take it away.
