Now Tea Party Republicans want to treat miscarriages as murder - punishable by death.
Edited on Thu Feb-24-11 06:18 PM by TheBigotBasher

Dick Head Tea Party Bigot.

The political wing of the Tea Party Terrorists is yet again turning its attention to to the right of women to choose. Supposedly against big government, they can not help themselves wanting their bath tub government to expand in to the private lives of individuals.

Georgia State Rep. Bobby Franklin has proposed a bill that would treat abortion as murder and if a woman miscarries, while not in the presence of a Doctor she would be investigated for murder at one of her most harrowing times in her life.

A woman would have to prove that if she had taken a sleeping pill or if she had consumed a glass of wine that neither of those things caused her to have the miscarriage. If drinking a glass of wine caused a miscarriage she would face the death penalty.

SO a fetus must be saved at all cost, a distraught would have been mother, well her life is worthless.

The reaction of other Tea Party Republicans to this is to attack Franklin, not for the bill itself but for the timing. They want these things left until after the Presidential election. I wonder why.

2. They are so pro-life they will kill you! Wow.
What do you think they would do to Jesus if he returned today?

I think they'd injure themselves throwing up a cross to hang him from again.

3. There's a key phrase here.
"...her life is worthless." :wtf:

You see, to the Tighty Righty Fundy Fanatics, a woman's life is "worthless" unless she is forced into being an incubator for a man's sperm.

They believe women are sinful, fallen, and evil, and have no intrinsic worth or rights on their own.

This is all about CONTROL, and domination (theirs) over the rights and beliefs, let alone the bodies, of others. Completely clear and blatant. :puke:

6. I am guessing Bobby Franklin has a really tiny penis and he is trying to get back at the women who
laughed at it.

9. Hey - I've got a small dick AND I'm a staunch supporter of women's rights.
I consider myself a feminist, in fact.

Don't lump small-dicked guys together in one bunch. We're not all bitter woman-haters just cuz we're not hung like mules.

I agree that penis size should not be an, erm, measure of commitment to choice.

21. It just bugs me when people assume that a man acts like a mssive tool just BECAUSE he doesn't
have one. It's a knee jerk reaction - "What an asshole! I bet he has a tiny penis!"

I'll just say this - I've learned to be more attentive to the needs of the women I've been with BECAUSE I'm aware of certain deficiencies on my part. Plus which, I've educated myself on feminism, I'm conscious of male privilege, I've played in riot grrrl bands (currently in a band with my girlfriend, in fact!), and I am wholeheartedly pro-woman...and believe it or not, I'm not bitter about having a smaller than average weenie. Bobby Franklin - and ANY politician whose views and policies negatively affect women - can go eat shit.

So maybe we ought to be a lil' more careful when slinging around insults re: masculinity or the perceived lack of it.

The act of prenatal murder has caused a significant reduction in the number of citizens in this state who would serve as workers, entrepreneurs, teachers, employees and employers who would have significantly contributed to the prosperity and continuation of this state.

Such a term does not include....."miscarriage" so long as there is no human involvement whatsoever in the cause of such event.

So, I wonder if you'd have to prove that you didn't have a fertilized egg in your menses every month. Just to be safe.

20. The woman is human. Therefore she is the cause of the event because she exist and is fertile..

"Such a term does not include....."miscarriage" so long as there is no human involvement whatsoever in the cause of such event."

What I read here is they think women are not human.

What does anyone, expect from the same people that accept corporations as having the same rights as persons and also accepting a fertilized egg as being on the same level as a born human baby or sometimes even a fully adult male?
Facts don't matter to these people. Truth is whatever they say it is at the moment. You can't argue with them because they can't see reality. For them reality is ever shifting to whatever they need at the moment. Because they can't see reality as it really is, they think they can make things up as they go.

Men and women are equal, even if not the same, as yin and yang. For men to pass laws subjugating women because of their sexuality, is to enslave them to a 'master', in this case, the Bible thumping Reich wing-nutz.
The Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth amendments did away with slavery and gave full rights to all citizens in this country, freeing women to be responsible for themselves, instead of under the control of a male relative... Or a delusional group of males with a mental Napoleon complex.

Stoning is such a barbaric practice, it's what Muslim savages do.

Instead, they'll probably bring back the electric chair.

15. This kind of bs makes me sick.
I had a miscarriage a few years ago. I was trying to have a child and found out at 14 weeks that my baby had stopped growing at 7 weeks. It was horrible. The way the tech turned the screen away and wouldn't tell me anything. I knew something was wrong but went and picked up my daughter and headed out to my doctor's office... a 20 minute drive of stomach wrenching trying to figure out what the problem was. I sat in the exam room with my 4 year old and heard the news. My boyfriend was out of town working or at training. I tried to hold back the tears. I knew it was a possibility. I have a rare disease that if a boy gets it he will die. My mom had three miscarriages and 7 kids... six girls and 1 boy.... I always knew it could happen.

THen I walked around with a dead fetus inside me for a couple weeks. The doctor wanted to let it come out naturally. I endured blood being drawn every few days. Finally I passed the fetus. IT was painful and awful.

I do not say this for sympathy. I ended up having another child who is now 5. I knew I was lucky to be able to try again. I know people who tried for years and had a much harder time than me. I say this because it is bad enough to have a miscarriage. For me the worst part was having to tell anyone. When I was pregnant with my now 5 year old I didn't tell anyone until I was far enough along to feel safe that it would be ok.

This is a private thing. I don't understand how these jerks can say they want government to stay out of their business, but somehow it's ok to stick your nose in a woman's business. It's ok to tell women they have to carry a pregnancy through and now to vilify a woman who has a miscarriage. how about we go spreading around pics of men getting their turn your head and cough exam? how about evey man who gets viagra has that info all over for the whole world to see. how about if they have ED that gets splashed all over for the world to see. I am sick of women being open for everyone to put their damned two cents in!

primarily because I am a man. Nor would any reasonable person then want to add on to that horror the distress and upset of a police investigation that could lead to you facing the death penalty.

23. Honestly I don't think this "vision" of America will *ever* be the majority view.
Too many women, including radical right wing women, will have personal experience with such tragic scenarios.

Just wish that the loonieness was universally recognized
