Fox "news" currently "reporting" democratic law makers in Wisconsin should be charged with fraud
Apparently these law makers took an oath of office so they must show up for work. And since they aren't they should be arrested and charged with fraud because this is a crime.

Jesus, do these fucking people have no sense of irony? The crime of these law makers is not showing up to vote for a corrupt bill meant to fuck over the people of Wisconsin. And Fox "news" wants to throw them in jail for it?

The Bush administration violated just about every privacy law that we have on the books. They violated just about every international treaty on the books. They happily exposed undercover CIA agents for their own political gain. And they constantly lied to congress (under oath) and to the american people to get us in to a war that has killed over 4,000 americans, well over 100,000 innocent Iraqis (over a million by some estimates), and cost over a trillion dollars. Where was Fox "news" then?

But now that democratic law makers decide not to show up for work in order to prevent the most corrupt bill they have ever seen we need to arrest these people? And Fox "news" is calling this fraud? When Scooter Libby was convicted of a CRIME fox "news" could not get itself to call it a crime:

Fox "news" anchor after Libby was convicted: We got word early this morning that the sentence might be even longer because of the severity of the...um...uh...ummm.the ahhh...the investigation that he was charged with obstructing.

I decided to turn on Fox "news" today for the first time in years, what a stupid idea that was.

3. Cable, I don't think they need a license.
Edited on Fri Feb-18-11 05:05 PM by no limit
And I don't think their cable operations in anyway affect their national network which must follow FCC rules.

8. isn't that slander? accusing them of a crime

(snip is from an unrelated case, emphasis is mine)

http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=502733

^snip^

Generally speaking, libel is described as written defamation and
slander is oral defamation. If a one person accuses another of
criminal activity, it can be said that the person making the utterance
could be guilty of slander
, but only when unprivileged conditions
exists. In other words, when one makes such a statement to authorities
(as a complaint) or in open court (as sworn testimony), these are
considered privileged communications and are not subject to criminal
or civil complaint.

10. In Texas, the repugs fined the missing Democrats
During the DeLay redistricting mess, the repugs in the Texas legis levied fines against the boycotting Texas Democrats. Part of the deal for the Texas Democrats to come back was the forgiveness of these fines.

I would expect the Wisconsin repugs to try this trick at some point
