Obama Opposes The Republican Anti-Union Bill In Wisconsin
President Obama thrust himself and his political operation this week into Wisconsin's broiling budget battle, mobilizing opposition Thursday to a Republican bill that would curb public-worker benefits while planning similar action in other state capitals.

Obama accused Scott Walker, the state's new Republican governor, of unleashing an "assault" on unions in pushing emergency legislation that would nullify collective-bargaining agreements that affect most public employees, including teachers.

The president's political machine worked in close coordination Thursday with state and national union officials to mobilize thousands of protesters to gather in Madison and to plan similar demonstrations in other state capitals.

Their efforts began to spread, as thousands of labor supporters turned out for a hearing in Columbus, Ohio, to protest a measure from Gov. John Kasich (R) that would cut collective-bargaining rights.

3. That OBAMA! Just like BOOOsh.
From now on, any time someone even suggests that, it's time to just point at them and laugh with derision.

7. Are you suggesting that he inject himself into
every state and their controversies? Are you saying that he has to be out and front leading a mass uprising against every law or policy that some batshit insane Republican governor proposes despite being busy with his other presidential duties, including battling the teabaggers in Congress? I'm not saying that he should remain silent and let whatever happen- and it's great for him to speak out when he is able and willing to do so but the demands for him to have to step into any and all public controversies seem a bit much IMHO. I remember the same dust-up over Prop 8 in California back in 2008 and thought all of the outrage that got ginned up over his apparent inability and/or desire to inject himself into that debate was ridiculous. Don't forget that his community organizing outfit (OFA) IS supporting what is going on in Wisconsin.

10. I suggest you pick up a history book or two
and realize that our "leaders" get behind civil rights and labor when it gets this kind of unstoppable quality to it.
