Three years this week...

I prepared a tax return for an amazing woman. Smart and beautiful, had recently given birth to a precious daughter.

I stayed to meet her at 9:30 PM because of her schedule. She was an incredibly gifted nurse at a really great hospital here.

We had coffee and talked small chat. We had spoken over the phone many, many times because of the complexity of her and her family's return. Meeting her fulfilled every expectation I had of her kind telephone voice and intelligence. By this point I considered her a friend.

7 weeks later she died in a horrific mid-day car wreck.



Having a difficult time dealing with it.

I am so sorry.

You had developed a deep friendship, and it has stayed with you all these years...

She will always have a place in your heart and your memory...

it is difficult losing someone you've grown to know in such a senseless way.
