Raise Taxes
Thats my solution for just about every budget crisis everywhere. Sound simple? Well, it is.

3. That's what I told a republican. His comment, they will all leave the US and
take all their money with them. My comment, F it. We would be better without them. He had no answer back.

As bad as they talk about the US, they speak even worse about everywhere else. Socialist Europe? Communist China? Mexico? Canada (the horror!)?

Fuck them. They won't go any damn where. Tax them till it hurts.

5. Yes, and start by reversing the tax cuts for the rich.
And fully revitalize the so-called "death tax" -- estate taxes are our friends.

10. It will only work if government is reformed
the biggest obstacle to more taxes is the common perception that the government just wastes it. High taxes are tolerated in Europe because it is clear what they get for their money. Not so in most American states - Rhode Island, where I live, has a well deserved reputation for corruption, waste and cronyism. There is no way anyone can argue that raising taxes is the only way to solve our problems.
