The mainstream news media is nothing more than a propaganda outlet for our biggest corporations. (Know that as you watch MSNBC, which is supposedly "liberal," your news is coming through the filter of one of the largest corporations in the history of the planet. If you think they are reporting progressive or populist news, you are insane. Note the difference between a program like Democracy Now! and whatever you consider to be the most "liberal" MSNBC program.

The corporate whores in the media like Christie because they are conservative, corporate authoritarians who want to like conservatives, but feel uncomfortable with the religious brand of conservatives like Huckabee. Guys like Huckabee don't do well at their Beltway cocktail parties. Christie represents everything they love: he's great for ratings, he's a corporate whore who supports their corporate masters, but he's not a religious nut and he's from the north.
