O'Donnel is tearing this GOP'er to shreds
and he'd know about this, since he did work in the Hill folks.

I admire Larry for his Terminator-like tenacity in attempting to nail jello to the wall.

10. He demanded to know if a certain R congresscritter
declared his housing allowance as part of his income, since well, he is sleeping in a federal building to save money.

I was wondering about it, and it is similar to the military's allowance. We had to declare it... so should this creep

11. he was asking a congress critter-R about whether or not he claimed
Edited on Wed Feb-16-11 08:44 PM by notadmblnd
his rent free sleeping quarters (his office) as additional income on his taxes. His answer was that he was trying to do best for his family. Translation = No. Larry asked him if he had discussed it with the IRS and the guy tried justifying it by saying "others do it too". translation again = No. Larry asked if any of those other congresspeople was claiming it or if they were tax cheats too.

12. That was great
he pretty much smirked and smiled through the earlier part of the interview when LO tried to pin him down on what cuts he would make to the budget or what changes he'd want for Soc. Sec. He stopped smirking when asked about being a tax criminal though. I don't think Chaifetz is the only one who does this though.

13. O'Donnell's new found outrage on this issue is laughable. Congressmen have
been doing this for years and now he wants to act out for the cameras. I find O'Donnell to be inauthentic and can barely stomach him.

14. you'd think they'd have more compassion for the people depending on "government entitlements"
i.e. the disability insurance, unemployment insurance, Social Security and Medicare that they already paid for

according to your reasoning we should never investigate anyone just because they got away with a crime in the past!

18. Especially if they are Repubs.
:-)

There are a few who do this.

One of the recent teahadist does this as well. Most of them, from memory, ARE republicans.

21. I pretty much like O'Donnell
but that interview made me very uncomfortable. It wasn't because of the issues he addressed, it was the way he did it. He hardly gave the congressman a chance to answer the questions. Earlier Chris Matthews did the same thing to a liberal (think it was Common Cause) and I found both interviews very rude and unproductive. Journalists can be hard-hitting and still be somewhat civil.
