HEADLINE: Obama Slashes Assistance for Poor and Needy in New Budget, cites Ike
Edited on Mon Feb-14-11 03:49 PM by Bluebear
President Obama: "My budget freezes annual domestic spending for the next five years—even on programs I care deeply about—which will reduce the deficit by more than $400 billion over the next decade. This freeze will bring this type of spending to its lowest level as a share of the economy since Dwight Eisenhower was president."

Again with the benchmark being a Republican administration (Eisenhower)... Don't worry, those without heat, it's only a two-month freeze!!!!1

8. Let's see,
Reagan.:puke: Ike.
Nixon would be good for the next one,Checkers was a cute dog. But if Bush comes up, that's it. I don't care how cute his dog was.

I guess we must not have had any good Democratic President's that might have balanced the budget or stuff like that, that could be used as an example or praised.

15. Ha! What fucking irony he would mention President Eisenhower!
You traded bullets and butter for corporations and energy! Sorry but Obama cannot do these things and say it is programs he 'cares deeply about'. What absolute HORSEHIT. Good thing we all can make it this year, sounds rough to be near destitue...you just need to pull yourself up by the bootsrap! What? You are wearing shower caps and disposable diapers on your feet tied together with canvas?

Er...smell that change! In the air. That's change. :|

17. Would he please make up his mind which incapacitated Republican President he's emulating?
You know, Barack, if you want to get your Reagan thing down really tight at some point you're going to have to consider brain damage. Huff some carburetor cleaner or airplane glue, if surgery is too scary for you. It's the only way to be convincing about this bullshit. To sell bullshit you have to really believe in bullshit. Faking will get you only so far. And you are too young to have strokes like Eisenhower. Although you may want to up your sodium intake and resume smoking and see if that will do the trick.

24. President Obama's budget
1) The President's budget prepares 100,000 new science, technology, engineering, and math teachers.

2) The President's budget provides $148 billion for research and development, more than doubling funding for energy efficiency research.

3) The President's budget proposal reduces the deficit by $1.1 trillion over 10 years.

4) The President's budget maintains maximum Pell Grant award, helping 9 million students afford college.

5) With this budget, the President will meet his pledge to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term.

28. At the expense of cutting aid to the poor and downtrodden.
I guess if people die from lack of govt aid, it will be made up by the students that won't otherwise get a chance...er..wait...did I type die. That might be too much...surely these programs are more important than things like food and a car to drive to that minimun wage job. They can sell crack...everyone poor does now. And it is just a few people, who probably would have died from something sooner or later. Probably crime. :sarcasm:
