The Corporation for National and Community Service
This is the government entity that funds things like Senior Corps, Americorps and the like is rumored to be eliminated completely from the budget proposed by President Obama.
Since I work for a program in this entity, it's now my ox being gored (were it to come true). The real issue isn't so much its' being cut (if it happens) as it is where the hell do I find another job? since the economy isn't exactly booming............

1. Does one not notice the irony here...
The "Corporation" for National and Community "Service"? Pretty much says it all, don't ya think? Perhaps, irony isn't the appropriate word, but I'm sure you get my meaning.

2. Yeah that's weird
but what really gets me is the fact the whole shebang under that umbrella (several programs) costs all of 1.1 billion
The Pentagon gets around 500 billion.............
