What will the media's next shiny new object be?
hey will rapidly lose interest now in Egypt.

They are like children. They can't keep their concentration for too long on anything.

2. It's done that way on purpose
to keep US from concentrating on the important stuff, like the way the corporations and the rich are looting our country and eliminating the middle class. News stories are hyped up by the media as distraction, distraction, distraction.

3. I can't tell you how wonderful it is not to watch American corporate media.
Don't have to be irritated let alone angry, the news is always the main course, so many interesting people who really know what they're talking about and have great discussions. I should have done this ten years ago.

8. Yes, it's been a while since I watched U.S. Corporate Media
or State TV as I view it now when compared to the excellent news sources that are available from other countries.

We cancelled cable during the Bush years, and I never missed it as I learned far more from writers like Robert Fisk, Dahr Jamail and other major news organizations about the real truth of the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan.

We do have it again and after not seeing it for awhile, it is a shock to go back to the so obviously slanted material that passes for news, such as eg, the attacks on Wikileaks. And now we know where they came from, which was no surprise to learn.

Al Jazeera and other major world news organizations and reporters will continue to follow events in Egypt so we won't be without news even if our media forgets all about it.

5. It will be the Summer of Food Catastrophe
Crop failure will be the byline for every evening news broadcast.

United States faced with rising food prices while the third world starves. Stand by for Congress to slip in a few new laws to control food in the interest of National Security and give even more power to the Department of Homeland Security.

This will prepare the population for the new food tax to balance the Federal budget.

6. There will be a wave of 'Egypts' across the Islamic world
Also, we're not sure how Egypt is going to turn out quite yet, either.

7. Don't know, but I hope it's as meaningful to people's lives as Egypt is.
If kicking out dictators with massive peaceful protests is a "shiny object", I will become a big fan of them.
